An innovative portable farm combining biology and engineering expertise is presented in this document. In fact, an automated edible mushroom farm is designed and built inside a kitchen. It is monitored and controlled by an electronic system capable of ensuring the conditions of food development and growth during incubation and fructification. Control of physical variables such as temperature, relative humidity, soil moisture and luminosity, results in a maximum and cleaner production of Lentinula spp and Pleurotus spp. Also, the ON / OFF control analysis is carried out in both stages of incubation and fructification, yielding results depending on the controlled systems (heating system, ventilation system, irrigation system and lighting system). A comparison between the size and number of fungi harvested as well as the time of growth and development in both crop life cycles is detailed.
