dc.description.abstractEstudios Cefalométricos basados en la antropometría de la población colombiana, son limitados. La primera fase estableció similitudes entre las cefalometrías de Burstone y legan, Steiner y Mc Namara y su asociación con la población colombiana. La segunda fase generó una cefalometría con aplicación clínica y radiológica a la población colombiana. La tercera fase compara diagnósticos establecidos en cefalometría estándar versus cefalometría cubo. Aplicar la cefalometría de la universidad el bosque en la población colombiana; mediante datos obtenidos de los paciente que asistieron a la consulta de cirugía maxilofacial, en las diferentes rotaciones del postgrado. Se seleccionaron 150 radiografías cefálicas laterales de cráneo de pacientes registrados de la base de datos de las diferentes rotaciones del postgrado de cirugía maxilofacial de la Universidad El Bosque. Posteriormente se realizó análisis cefalométrico con medida de cefalometría CUBO comparándolo con resultados de cefalometría estándar. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran la aplicabilidad de la cefalometría CUBO en la población colombiana y la diferencia existente con relación a las medidas de la cefalometría estándar. La cefalometría Universidad el Bosque (CUBO) es un método confiable de aplicación diagnóstica en la población colombiana.spa

dc.description.abstractenglishCephalometric studies based on Colombian population anthropometry are limited. The first phase established similitudes between Burstone and Legan-Steiner-McNamara’s cephalometries and their association with Colombian population. In the second phase a cephalometry with clinical and radiological application on Colombian population was developed. Established diagnoses in standard cephalometry versus cube cephalometry are compared in the third phase. To apply El Bosque University’s cephalometry among Colombian population by means of data obtained from patients who attended the maxillo-facial surgery in the various post-graduate rotations. 150 lateral cranium cephalic radiographies of patients registered in the databases of various maxillo-facial surgery post-graduate rotations of El Bosque University were selected. A cephalometric analysis with El Bosque University’s cephalometry was carried out and results were compared with standard cephalometry. Data obtained show the applicability of El Bosque University’s cephalometry on Colombian population and the difference of measurements with relation to standard cephalometry. El Bosque University cephalometry is a reliable diagnostic method which can be applied on Colombian population.spa
