Ítem Fuentes de los conceptos de autocuidado de la salud que se trabajan en las publicaciones del área de la salud: estado del arte(Universidad El Bosque) Cardona Betancourt, Tomas; Euscategui Estrada, Camila Andrea; Pardo Medina, Santiago; Valdivieso Díaz, Mariafernanda; Triviño Cortes, María Alejandra; Cañón Crespo, Andrés Felipe; Cañón Crespo, Andrés Felipe [0000-0003-4233-3578]Objective: Identify the concepts of self-care that is handled in journals ofthe health disciplines.Methodology: The Pubmed and LILACS databases will be searched forarticles that have the word self-care within the title, which are subjectrevisions, with no limit time. After this, the definition of each article is derived and its corresponding reference, a final total of 5 documents generated by recognized in the subject, 14 articles of scientific journals and 2 books is obtained. Results: We found 21 documents that had original definitions of the concept of self-care in which 14 definitions include health promotion, 13 disease prevention, 21 individual and collective, 7 professional and / or lay knowledge, 6 teamwork with health professional’s health, 5 self-care and / or self-management and 3 with traditional medicine and culture. 13 new categories were found during the review. It was obtained that the concept that most covers the categories exposed during the research is that of the World Health Organization. Finally, it was concluded that self-care is all those practices carried out by an individual with the objective of taking care of their health and preventing a disease, taking into account that all come from a collective learning. Conclusions: The accomplishment of this work allowed to confirm the polysemy of the concept of self-care. Prevent and limit the development of the disease, are the pillars of the concept of self-care. The evolution of the concept of self-care has its main theoretical bases towards the second half of the 20th century. Self-care helps medical action can be articulated in better ways and contribute to the care of their health and the management of their diseases
