Ítem Alivio del dolor en pacientes con fibromialgia con terapia de cannabinoides en 2006 - 2018. Revisión de la literatura(Universidad El Bosque) Leyva Zornoza, Juan Manuel; León Osma, Nicolás Antonio; Leyva Yepes, María Paula; Serrano Urzola, Nicolás; Malagón Rojas, Jeadran NevardoThis work aims to demonstrate the efficacy of drugs of cannabinoid origin with respect to the conventional therapy used for fibromyalgia with the aim of trying to objectify its usefulness in the correct control of pain modulation. The efficacy was measured by seeing the subjective reference of improvement in quality of life, decrease in the use of other medications, improvement in sleep quality and decrease in adverse effects. A systematic review was made in databases that evaluate the mentioned variables to make the comparison between classical therapy and cannabinoid therapy; these data were tabulated to allow a better understanding of the information collected. Different limitations were found during the investigation, such as the lack of long-term studies, the potential for addictive symptoms and in some cases the side effects of this drug, additionally there is little knowledge about the specific mechanism of action and the way in which which varies in its effectiveness. Despite the aforementioned, we noticed that with the use of cannabinoid medications, most patients report improvement in the quality of life, referred to as a decrease in the use of other medications and a lower amount of adverse effects, as well as improvement in sleep quality. Finally, we consider that with the information available so far it is not possible to make statistically significant estimates that allow extrapolating these results in all contexts.
