Over the years, Puente Aranda has been a locality with air pollution problems, specifically with the particulate material contaminant. According to studies found, the environment where the population develops generates a deterioration in human health evidenced in cases of diseases and complications at respiratory or cardiovascular level, that is, the environmental health that is presented is not very optimal for the population. This project aims to design a micro surveillance network for the particulate contaminant (PM2.5 and PM10) issued in the town of Puente Aranda, for monitoring and alarm at the population level. It was carried out using the methodology proposed by the manual for the design of air quality surveillance systems in order to develop it under the legal and technical criteria of Colombian legislation. These criteria result in the design of the micro-network with a strategic location, in addition to an early warning mechanism proposed to notify the population when there are high levels of concentrations and the precautions that must be taken in the face of said alert to reduce cases of human health affectation.
