Ítem Propuesta de diseño de un sistema de tratamiento, recirculación de agua y recuperación de lodo residual proveniente de un proceso de lavado de Papa (Solanum tuberosum) caso de estudio planta Provimercado.(Universidad El Bosque, 2019) Galeano Vargas, David Armando; Ladino Moreno, Edgar EduardoThe potato washing process aims to provide a better presentation of the product as well as facilitate its preparation to the consumer. However, this process makes significant discharges of settable solids without prior treatment on bodies of water and district sewage, which have a high amount of solid and liquid pollutants that result in different effects on humans and the environment. A proposal for technological improvement to the process is presented in this document by designing a water treatment and recirculation system used in the washing process to mitigate impacts on water quality and to recover residual sludge for subsequent sale and use in the cultivation process. To carry out this project, the washing plant of the Provimercado microenterprise was taken as a reference. In the first place a characterization of the wastewater of the process was carried out in order to find the most appropriate treatment plant design, build a model of it and finally analyze the viability of its implementation. As the most relevant results we found out that the treatment methodology presented positive results regarding the improvement of the quality parameters of the water discharged, and it was concluded that there is a positive viability of project implementation in areas with enough space needed.
