Ítem Diseño de un sistema de tratamiento para las aguas residuales agrícolas generadas en el beneficio húmedo del café en la finca Buena Vista; Planadas, Tolima ,2019.(Universidad El Bosque, 2019) Campos Morales, Luisa Fernanda; Duran Medina, Dayhana Alejandra; Peña Guzmán, Carlos AndrésThe coffee sector performs the processing of coffee by humid route, where polluting liquid waste is generated by its acidity values (acidic pH), sedimentable solids (SS) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). Therefore, the objective of this project was to propose the design of a treatment system for honey (mucilage) waters generated at the Buena Vista Planadas estate, Tolima. For the above, the baseline of the coffee process was known and then a physical-chemical characterization of honey water was performed in which the critical parameters according to Res. 631: 2015 were: COD = 34873mg/L; BO5D = 13896mg/L; Fats and oils = 2052mg/L and SST = 4126mg/L. With this, a Modular Anaerobic Treatment System (SMTA) was designed with a maximum capacity of 1,710kg of cherry coffee / day and an artificial subsurface flow wetland (SFS) of 4,644.2m2 as a complement to the SMTA. In conclusion, so the system is highly efficient in removing contaminants present in the wastewater from the coffee benefit based on studies that have been carried out in recent years by universities, coffee sector associations and the National Research Center Coffee, who have obtained removal values of 93% in the case of the SMTA and 87.64% in the case of the FSS. Therefore, it can be inferred that the application of artificial wetlands is a viable alternative, which involves simple technology to operate, affordable infrastructure and economic maintenance.
