The present study oriented its objetive to determine the role of the psychologist in addressing the spritual dimension for the management of disease health processes based on a review of the literature, in order to definea the competencies, abilities or qualities thar should have The psychology professional for this work. The literature review was related to spiritualy, health psychology, role of the psychologist, spirituality and clinical therapy, which allowed us to identufy categories such as competencies, attitudes, knowledge, abilities and skill, which are related to the objetives set. A search of national and intenational literature from 2015 to 2018 was carried out, finding 119 sources of information such as: books, scientific articles, doctoral these, guides, associations, among others; 38 publications were selected that were included in the study.
