Ítem Propuesta de guía intervención psicológica para fibromialgia.(Universidad El Bosque, 2019) Cardona Barragán, Claudia Alexandra; Vargas Ramos, Olga MaríaFibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by widespread and diffuse pain, muscle stiffness, excessive tiredness, difficulties in reconciling and maintaining a restful sleep; additionally, some emotional alterations can occur as the tendency to depression and anxiety. There is no clarity regarding its etiopathogenesis so far; however, there is more evidence of peripheral and central sensitivity that increases the perception of the painful stimulus. Due to its complexity and emotional compromise, Fibromyalgia’s approach must be interdisciplinary. Psychological interventions take great relevance in aspects such as coping with the disease, the resignification of pain and the reduction of its catastrophization; allowing a better patient functionality. Evidence affirms the efficiency of interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and some tools of Third Generation Therapies in this syndrome. However, there is not enough Colombian evidence of designed guidelines for psychological intervention in those who suffer this disease. Based on the analysis of existing literature, a psychological guideline is proposed for providing the psychologist with the appropriate tools for performing complete and specific interventions for fibromyalgia patients. This phase corresponds to the approach of the guideline, it is recommended to be validated and thus develop interventions aimed at improving the well-being of patients with this pathology.
