Resumen
En muchas culturas, el teatro se utiliza como una forma de transmitir historias y tradiciones de generación en generación. Además, el teatro es una forma efectiva de expresar ideas y puntos de vista sobre problemas sociales y políticos. En muchas ocasiones, se utilizan los escenarios teatrales para reflexionar y discutir temas importantes entre las personas, generando un diálogo entre la comunidad. Esta tesis destaca la importancia de los elementos teatrales en la historia y la cultura de las islas de Providencia y Santa Catalina, y propone un plan de acción para su rescate y promoción. Los resultados de esta investigación pueden ser de interés para investigadores, artistas, funcionarios públicos y cualquier persona interesada en la cultura y la historia de esta región. Como estudiante raizal de la carrera de Arte Dramático, se ha desarrollado en mi proceso académico, el interés por fomentar la práctica teatral en mi comunidad, investigando orígenes del teatro en el pasado de nuestros ancestro y en el legado que se ha sembrado en nuestra historia, para despertar el interés artístico en mi generación. La presencia y el legado de la comunidad indígena MISKITA en la historia de nuestras islas se convierte en la fuente esencial para indagar los orígenes teatrales sembrados en nuestra historia raizal y así lograr desarrollar esta investigación.

Abstract
In many cultures, theater is used as a way to pass down stories and traditions from generation to generation. Additionally, theater is an effective way to express ideas and views on social and political issues. On many occasions, theatrical settings are used to reflect on and discuss important issues among people, generating a dialogue among the community. This thesis highlights the importance of theatrical elements in the history and culture of the Isla de Providencia and Santa Catalina in Colombia, and proposes an action plan for their rescue and promotion. The results of this research may be of interest to researchers, artists, public officials and anyone interested in the culture and history of this region. As a Raizal student of the Dramatic Art career, interest in promoting theatrical practice in my community has developed in my academic process, investigating the origins of theater in the past of our ancestors and in the legacy that has been sown in our history. , to arouse artistic interest in my generation. The presence and legacy of the MISKITO indigenous community in the history of our islands becomes the essential source to investigate the theatrical origins planted in our root history and thus achieve the development of this investigation.
