El propósito de esta investigación es analizar el comportamiento, consecuencias e implicaciones económicas ocasionadas en el sector turístico y hotelero, producto de la pandemia del Covid-19 en Colombia. Para llevar a cabo este artículo, es necesario conocer la representación económica del sector turístico a través de los últimos años, subsectores de este, y su representación social, ambiental y tecnológica. Tomando en cuenta lo anterior, se consultó a través del DANE (Departamento Nacional de Estadística), MINCIT (Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo), y otras bases de datos oficiales, con el fin de recolectar la información necesaria y pertinente, para el desarrollo del proyecto. Dichos datos también deben ser principalmente relacionados al turismo del 2020 (año en el cual Colombia se vio afectado por la llegada de la pandemia del Covid-19, donde el gobierno se vio obligado a ejercer medidas de aislamiento obligatorio y cierre de fronteras con el propósito de resguardar la salud de los connacionales); y del 2021 (las medidas de recuperación turística, luego de la reapertura de casi todos los destinos del mundo). El estudio fue realizado a través de una revisión documental, con investigación cualitativa. El articulo está compuesto por bases de datos, artículos científicos, tesis de grado y postgrado.
Por medio del presente artículo se pudo dar una descripción detallada, de la importancia del sector turístico y sus aportes al crecimiento del PIB, donde se evidenció su comportamiento y representación para Colombia a lo largo de los años. Por otro lado, se estudió el declive del sector tras la pandemia, factor que se observó en la disminución de la ocupación de los hoteles y la afectación para el transporte.
A su vez, se relacionó el sector turístico con variables que poseen una conexión dependiente, como lo es la tecnología, economía, sociedad, cultura, sostenibilidad, gastronomía, hoteles, transporte, entre otros. Con el fin de entender la influencia que tienen las ya mencionadas en el sector, y a su vez evaluar las consecuencias que generó la pandemia en cada una.

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the behavior, consequences and economic implications caused in the tourism and hotel sector, because of the Covid-19 pandemic in Colombia. To carry out this article, it is necessary to know the economic representation of the tourism sector in recent years, its subsectors, and its social, environmental and technological representation. Taking into account the above, it was consulted through the DANE (National Department of Statistics), MINCIT (Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism), and other official databases, in order to collect the necessary and pertinent information, for the project execution. These data must be mainly related to tourism in 2020 (the year in which Colombia was affected by the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, where the government was forced to exercise mandatory isolation measures and border closure for the purpose to protect the health of nationals); and 2021 (tourist recovery measures, after the reopening of almost all destinations in the world). The study was carried out through a documentary review, with a qualitative variable. The article is made up of databases, scientific articles, graduate and postgraduate thesis.
Through this article, it was possible to give a detailed description of the importance of the tourism sector and its contributions to GDP growth, where its behavior and representation for Colombia over the years was evidenced. On the other hand, the decline of the sector after the pandemic was studied, a factor that was observed in the decrease in hotel occupancy and the impact on transport.
In turn, the tourism sector was related to variables that have a dependent connection, such as technology, economy, society, culture, sustainability, gastronomy, hotels, transportation, among others. In order to understand the influence that the aforementioned have in the sector, and in turn evaluate the consequences that the pandemic generated in each one.
