Resumen
Objetivo: Evaluar el nivel de ansiedad antes y después de un video educativo, en pacientes que van a biopsia transrectal de próstata en un centro de referencia de Bogotá.
Materiales y métodos: Se desarrolló un video educativo sobre la biopsia de próstata que puede ser usado con pacientes. Se planeaba medir el nivel de ansiedad en pacientes antes y después de ser expuestos al video, empleando el cuestionario STAI. Se iba a realizar un análisis multivariado para determinar si existía asociación entre los datos demográficos y el nivel de ansiedad. La variación en el nivel de ansiedad antes y después del video se iba a estimar con una prueba t - Student.
Resultados: El estudio tuvo que ser finalizado antes de la inclusión de los pacientes, por dificultades administrativas. No pudo medirse por lo tanto el nivel de ansiedad antes o después del video.
Conclusiones: Se espera que el protocolo de investigación desarrollado y el video creado pueda ser usado por otros autores que tengan la motivación de replicar este estudio.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the level of anxiety before and after an educational video, in patients undergoing to transrectal prostate biopsy in a reference center in Bogotá.
Materials and methods: An educational video on prostate biopsy was developed that can be used with patients. It was planned to measure the level of anxiety in patients before and after being exposed to the video, using the STAI questionnaire. A multivariate analysis was thinked to be performed to determine whether there was an association between demographic data and anxiety level. The variation in the level of anxiety before and after the video was decided to be estimated with a t-Student test.
Results: The study had to be completed before the inclusion of the patients, due to administrative difficulties. Therefore, the level of anxiety could not be measured before or after the video.
Conclusions: It is expected that the research protocol developed and the video created can be used by other authors who have the motivation to replicate this study.
