La problemática mundial de las futuras madres se refleja en la atención que brindan los servicios de salud cuando son consideradas de alto riesgo, el cual se ve incrementado por sus condiciones de salud bucal. Es necesario identificar las acciones que contribuyen de alguna manera a la reducción de la morbilidad y muerte materna. El objetivo de este artículo es describir las acciones de salud bucal para las futuras madres en América Latina de 2010 a 2022. Revisión narrativa de la literatura con búsquedas avanzadas y sistemáticas utilizando palabras clave, términos de malla y operadores booleanos en: Pubmed, DOAJ y Google Scholar . Adicionalmente, diferentes documentos como Rutas Integrales de Atención en Salud, el IV Estudio Nacional de Salud Bucal y guías clínicas prácticas de salud bucodental para dichos pacientes. Los criterios de selección incluyeron artículos científicos o documentos nacionales sobre acciones de salud de la futura madre, en América Latina entre 2010 y 2022. Dichas acciones en el período mencionado fueron identificadas en artículos y guías donde se evidenció que estas pacientes tienen poco interés y conocimiento. en cuanto a su salud bucal. La mayoría de los artículos fueron cualitativos basados en sus
conocimientos por medio de entrevistas. La dificultad más grave es la no asistencia a las citas por factores socioeconómicos, sistema político, creencias religiosas y desconocimiento de la importancia de la salud bucal. Las diferencias sociales influenciadas por determinantes individuales, singulares y generales, políticos, económicos, culturales dificultan el acceso a los servicios de salud, aun cuando exista una buena cobertura de salud.

Abstract
The world problematic regarding mothers-to-be is reflected in the attention offered by health services when they are considered high risk, which is increased by their oral health conditions. It is necessary to identify the actions
which contribute in some way to a reduction of morbidity and maternal death. The objective of this article is describe oral health actions for mothers-to-be in Latin America from 2010 to 2022. Narrative review of literature with advanced and systematic searches using key words, mesh terms and Boolean operators in: Pubmed, DOAJ y Google Scholar. Additionally, different documents like Rutas Integrales de Atención en Salud, the IV Estudio Nacional de Salud Bucal and practical clinical oral health guides for said patients. The selection criteria included scientific articles or national documents on mother-to-be health actions, in Latin America between 2010 and 2022. Said actions in the mentioned period were identified in articles and guides where it was evident that these patients have little interest and knowledge regarding their oral health. Most articles were qualitative based on with their knowledge by means of interviews. The most serious difficulty is the non-attendance to appointments due to socio-economic factors, political system, religious beliefs and ignorance regarding the importance of oral health. Social
differences influenced by individual, singular and general determinants, political, economic, cultural make access to health services difficult, even though there is good health coverage.
