El proyecto de investigación-creación Pacific Góspel se fundamenta en el denominado movimiento de las Nuevas Músicas Colombianas, a partir de esta etiqueta y la apropiación de los elementos constitutivos de estas músicas se crearon de manera experimental tres canciones con letras cristianas desde las músicas del conjunto de marimba y el góspel afroamericano. Se hace un breve recorrido por el contexto de estas dos culturas al analizar sus fundamentos, precursores y bases musicales; como apoyo a lo anterior, se hace una visita al territorio de Guapi para que por medio de entrevistas, fotos y videos se recopile el acervo cultural de este territorio y a su vez se indague sobre los ritmos de las músicas de marimba, con los portadores de esta herencia. Por otra parte, se plantea un marco teórico de las músicas del pacífico sur tomando como referentes a Alexander Duque, Héctor Francisco Sánchez y Héctor Javier Tascón con sus libros ¡Que te pasa a vo! y A Marimbiar. Con relación a las Nuevas Músicas Colombianas se aborda a Nathaly Gómez con su amplio estudio sobre el surgimiento de las NMC y desde el góspel, se toma como referente Eileen Southerd con su libro “Historia de la música negra norteamericana”, Kirk Franklin con su producción musical titulada “The Kirk Franklin and the family collection” y por último a Kurt Cowling con su libro el “Góspel Piano” se hace un análisis por su historia, precursores y desarrollo musical, y como este género influenció toda la música de esta nación en las iglesias. El enfoque metodológico se sustenta en la investigación creación como herramienta para generar conocimiento, donde se explora y experimenta para producir tres canciones con letras cristianas, basadas en las músicas de marimba, y el góspel afroamericano bajo el movimiento de las nuevas Músicas Colombianas.

Abstract
Creation project Pacific Gospel is based on the so-called New Colombian Music movement. From this label and the appropriation of the constituent elements of this music, three songs with Christian lyrics were experimentally created from the music of the group. of marimba and African-American gospel. A brief tour is made of the context of these two cultures by analyzing their foundations, precursors and musical bases; In support of the above, a visit is made to the territory of Guapi so that through interviews, photos and videos the cultural heritage of this territory is compiled and at the same time the airs of marimba music are investigated, with the bearers of this inheritance. On the other hand, a theoretical framework of the music of the South Pacific is proposed taking as references Alexander Duque, Héctor Francisco Sánchez and Héctor Javier Tascón with their books ¡Que te happen a vo! and A Marimbiar. In relation to New Colombian Music, Nathaly Gómez is approached with her extensive study on the emergence of the NMC and from gospel, Eileen Southerd is taken as a reference with her book “History of North American Black Music”, Kirk Franklin with his production musical entitled “The Kirk Franklin and the family collection” and finally Kurt Cowling with his book “Gospel Piano” an analysis is made of his history, precursors and musical development, and how this genre influenced all the music of this nation in the churches. The methodological approach is based on creative research as a tool to generate knowledge, where it is explored and experimented to produce three songs with Christian lyrics, based on marimba music, and African-American gospel.
