Las concepciones acerca de la maternidad adolescente incluyen una serie de características predefinidas socialmente. Sin embargo, las múltiples connotaciones que adquiere este fenómeno sugieren diversos interrogantes respecto a cuáles son las ideas más acercadas a la realidad del embarazo adolescente. El objetivo de este estudio es explorar el sistema de constructos personales de madres adolescentes del municipio del Espinal-Tolima. A través de la técnica de la autocaracterización y el posterior análisis de los constructos identificados, se profundizó sobre la identidad de las adolescentes y la forma en que la maternidad se construye desde sus propias perspectivas. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 5 madres adolescentes entre los 18 y 19 años, usuarias del Hospital San Rafael. Se trató de un estudio de corte cualitativo, realizado bajo la perspectiva de la Teoría de los Constructos Personales (TCP). El plan de análisis incluyó indicadores como la complejidad cognitiva, la autoestima y la clasificación de los constructos elicitados mediante el Sistema de Categorías para Constructos Personales (SCCP). En los resultados se muestra una primera impresión de la complejidad del sistema de construcción de las adolescentes; respecto a la construcción de sí mismas, aunque la mayoría de sus construcciones apuntan hacia una adecuada autoestima, hay actitudes negativas presentes en esta etapa que transcurre entre ser adolescente y ser madre. Finalmente, la categoría principal de significado sobre la maternidad para estas mujeres es la responsabilidad.

Abstract
Conceptions about teenage motherhood include a series of socially predefined characteristics. However, the multiple connotations that this phenomenon acquires suggest several questions about which ideas are closer to the reality of teenage pregnancy. The objective of this study is to explore the system of personal constructs of teenage mothers in the region of Espinal-Tolima. Through the technique of selfcharacterization and the subsequent analysis of the identified constructs, the identity of adolescents and the way in which motherhood is constructed from their own perspectives were deepened. The sample consisted of 5 teenage mothers between 18 and 19, users of the San Rafael Hospital. It was a qualitative study, carried out under the perspective of the Theory of Personal Constructs (TCP). The analysis plan included indicators such as cognitive complexity, self-esteem, and classification of constructs elicited through the System of Categories for Personal Constructs (SCCP). The results show a first impression of the complexity of the adolescent's construction system; regarding the construction of themselves, although most of their constructions point towards adequate self-esteem, there are negative attitudes present in this stage that takes place between being a teenager and being a mother. Finally, the main category of meaning about motherhood for these women was responsibility.
