Resumen
El conocimiento ancestral del vidrio, ha acompañado la evolución del hombre en el aspecto social, cultural y científico, existen cada día más manifestaciones artísticas en relación a este material milenario, convirtiéndose en una necesidad brindar su conocimiento. Colombia ha experimentado una evolución entorno al trabajo del vidrio especialmente en el sector industrial, gracias al cual se ha posicionado en el mercado regional como influyente exportador de vidrio y cristalería fina, aunque en la realidad social existe una competencia desigual para los artesanos del vidrio con relación a las importaciones de vidrio Chino e Hindú que de cara a la globalización, les ha dejado en una posición desfavorable por los bajos costos de objetos utilitarios importados y contradictoriamente, los altos costos de los insumos importados utilizados. Es aquí donde se quiere intervenir para que los artesanos que trabajen con esta materia prima tengan mejores posibilidades técnicas y estéticas utilizando materiales y técnicas existentes que son poco conocidas y trabajadas por la comunidad artesanal. Abordando la vitrofusión como neo artesanía podemos abrir el escenario para que más personas se puedan interesar en este oficio; Lo que estamos haciendo es revolucionar en técnica y en construcción de nuevas identidades.

Abstract
The ancient knowledge of glass working has walked with the man through evolution in the social, cultural
and scientific aspect. Every day there are more artistic manifestations regarding this material, where sprea-
ding its knowledge becomes a necessity. Colombia has evolved the glass working field through the industrial production and manufacturing, that has positioned itself in the regional market as an influential glass exporter. But, in the social aspect, there is an unfair and uneven competition between glass craftsmen and big Chinese and lndian glass importers, because of globalization, has left them on a unfavorable position; thanks to the low cost of imported utility objects and the high cost of the used supplies. Here is where this project would like to intervene, so artisans that work with this raw material have better possibilities within technique and aesthetic, using materials and and techniques that aren't that known and worked by the community. Taking glass working as a new craft, we can brad the scenarios so that people can pick interest in this handcraft; what we are doing is revolutionize techniques and building new identities.
